On the 23rd of January, the second part of the SAA Track and Field Competition is back! This time i will heading towards Bukit Gomabak Stadium in a more hearty mood as i am no longer competing the events. After my tuition in the morning, i rushed to the stadium in hope that i will reach there in time for my friend's 200m event which is at 2.30p.m., after an hour of train ride i finally reached Bukit Gombak.
This time the atmosphere was alot less tense than the previous time i had been here. The stadium was packed like sardines when i reached there, i was anxious for my friends, i hope that they will do Victoria School proud. I was happy to see that Khalifah was in great form and some of my other friends too. I reached there around 1230p.m and all my seniors and friends were in high spirits they were cracking jokes and were laughing heartily, i was happy that they were quite relaxed and keeping their mind occupied so that they would not worry about the race later.
Time flies really quickly, soon it was 2.30pm, samuel khalifah and all of the competitors took their place on the track.I held my breath as they got on their blocks. I hope that they can achieve something that would make all of us cheer for. "Bang!" a shot broke the tranquility of the air and samuel's heats started. Although samuel tried his very best he was no match against the other competitors that came from school like Singapore Sports School. Samuel manage to finish the race in second last position. Next up was khalifah's heat, khalifah managed to clinch some glory for Victoria School by coming in second for his heats. All of us were so proud of them.
This time round i was able to experience a different kind of feelings so it was an eye opener for me. I realised that encouragement to your fellow Victorians is also a kind of motivation for them to work harder.
